88% Pinot Noir, 12% Sauvignon Blanc from vines planted on volcanic jory soils in 1982 at Leland Vineyard in the Northern Willamette Valley. The hand picked pinot noir fruit receives a 48 hour maceration and is then pressed and racked into 500L roto puncheons. The sauvignon blanc fruit is hand picked, de-stemmed, and pressed. Post pressing the sauvignon blanc skins are transferred to the puncheon containing the pinot noir for 10 weeks. There is then a second pressing. The wine is then matured in neutral French barrels for 5 months. Total SO2: 47ppm.
